Study on Minimum Spark Ignition Energies of Premixes Gases
Ignition by spark discharge is employed in many combustion devices such as gasoline engines. Minimum ignition energy depends on fuel kinds and equivalence ratio. In this research, spark ignition of premixed gases is experimentally studied. Minimum ignition energy and initial burning velocity, which is a burning velocity at an initial stage of flame propagation, are measured and their dependences on equivalence ratio are examined.
