Spray combustion behavior, especially the atomization behavior in diesel engine is being investigated. In our laboratory, PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) was used to visualize the flow field around the spray. In addition, the mixing behavior of spray and ambience and evaporation characteristics of fuel are also being investigated. In the near future, because the injector with higher injection pressure wil be required, effects of injection condition on the atomization process is explored.
