ABOUT TPL

In Thermofluid Physics Lab (TPL), we investigate fundamental physics of phase change heat transfer i.e. boiling, evaporation and condensation and thermophysical properties of new refrigerants for a wide range of applications. We are interested in problems found at various scales - macroscopic heat transfer in steelmaking processes and condensers for air conditioners, or the development of microcoolers and controlling phase change phenomena by the use of nano/micro-surface structures. Also, we develop a database for thermodynamic/ thermophysical properties of hydrogen at high pressures.
